Medicine Cabinet
Privacy policy · Effective August 26, 2026
Medicine Cabinet is local-first. The app does not create an account, send medication information to us, run advertising, or track how you use it.
Information stored on your iPhone
The app stores the information you enter—such as medicine or supplement names, doses, schedules, food instructions, plan status, and administration history—in its private storage on your iPhone. This information stays on the device unless you choose to share it using an iPhone feature outside the app.
Images and text recognition
If you choose an image from Photos or Files, Medicine Cabinet uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to read visible text and create editable proposals. The app does not upload the selected image or recognized text to us. A person must review and confirm every proposed item before it becomes an active plan.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app asks iOS to schedule reminders locally on your iPhone. Paused and retired plans are not scheduled. You can change notification permission at any time in iPhone Settings.
Information we collect
Medicine Cabinet has no user accounts, analytics, advertising SDKs, or app-operated cloud service. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share medication plans, administration history, selected images, recognized text, or notification choices.
Email and support
If you email us for support or feedback, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and support the app. Email is handled by the providers used by you and by us, under their own privacy terms. Please do not email sensitive medical information.
Retention and deletion
App data remains in the app’s private storage until it is changed within the app or the app is deleted from the iPhone. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data according to iOS behavior. Support emails remain in the relevant email accounts until deleted under normal account practices.
Health and safety boundary
Medicine Cabinet is an organizational aid, not clinical advice. It does not recommend medication, resolve interactions, or infer whether a dose was taken. Contact a qualified healthcare professional with medical questions.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated before those changes are released, and the effective date above will be revised.
